Melges 24 European Championships

The International Melges 24 Continental Championship is held on any continent in which there are active fleets and Melges 24 National Class associations.  To qualify as a Continental Championship, a minimum of two, member National Class associations must participate. The Organizing Authority for a Continental Championship shall be the IM24CA in conjunction with the Host Club/Organization and the respective National Melges 24 Class Association. The Championship shall be held in any year in which the World Championships are on another continent.

Trophies:  The International Melges 24 European Championship is raced for the the Giorgio Zuccoli Trophy and the Menno Meyer Corinthian European Trophy.

The hosting country and venue for the 2018 Melges 24 European Championship was voted at the 2015 Annual General Meeting of the International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA) on November 21, 2015. Riva del Garda got the rights to host the Europeans 2018 with 40 votes out of 73.

The Melges 24 European Championship 2018 was organised by Fraglia Vela Riva in co-operation with Italian Melges 24 Class Association and the International Melges 24 Class Association.

Sunday 5th August: Practice race and the Opening Ceremony 
Monday 6th to Friday 10th August: 2018 Melges 24 European Championship
