The Eve of the Melges 24 European Championship
29 September 2024 - Split, Croatia - The past three days at Sailing Club Split have been a flurry of activity, with teams registering, checking sails, and measuring boats to ensure compliance with one-design class rules. All is set for fair and competitive racing, beginning on Monday, September 30.
Day -1 at Split Yacht Club wrapped up in a festive atmosphere with an opening ceremony and a generous feast catered by Restaurant Gusar, thanks to the sponsorship of club member Lukasz Podniesinski, owner of boat Razjaren and founder of LUKI Baustoffe. His generous contribution to this event was warmly acknowledged.
The evening's welcoming speeches were delivered by:

- Miles Quinton, International Melges 24 Class Association Executive Committee member

With smiles and excitement filling the air, the evening set a positive tone for the days of racing ahead. Sailors will gather on Monday at 10 a.m. for the Skippers' Briefing, preparing for the first warning signal, scheduled for midday.
