Last weekend's Volvo Cup event in Scarlino brought 34 boats from 8 nations to the line for a challenging weekend of racing. The winds ranged from 6 to 14 knots and were very shifty thanks to a weather system which was crossing the region through the regatta.

Congratulations to Norway's Christen Horn Johannessen and his team aboard NOR400 on their victory at the 2012 Swedish Open Melges 24 Championship held atStenungsund, Sweden on the weekend of 12-13 May.

With 36 boats from 9 nations the second leg of the 2012 Melges 24 Volvo Cup, held in Lerici, proved to be as challenging as ever. The skies were sunny and the temperature was up at 27° C but sadly the wind was very weak and as a result only three very light and shifty races could be completed.

The 2012 Melges 24 Gold Cup at Charleston Race Week was the third major event for Bora Gulari'sWest Marine Rigging/New England Ropessince last October, and it marked his third straight victory in a major Class championship.
