The German Class is proud to present two events in early autumn which should attract crews from other national classes: 12. - 14. September: German Open, Flensburg - A good possibility to show the power of the class to others in the business - J80 and X35 will hold races at the same weekend.
From the Germany Melges 24 Class - Travemuender Woche 2008 also incorporated the 2008 ORC European Championships for Sportsboats and we are delighted to report that the event was completely dominated by the Melges 24 class.
We are delighted to receive news from the UK Melges 24 Class confirming that they will hold the UK National Championship 2008 in Guernsey from 3-5 October.
The stage is set for the 2008 Melges 24 U.S. National Championship hosted by the Charleston Yacht Club in Charleston, S.C. on September 18-21. With 20 teams already registered, more than 50 teams total are expected to attend. The early entry deadline is July 31.

Congratulations to Alan Field and his crew aboard WTF for their fantastic win at last weekend's Newport Regatta, the latest event in the World and North American ranking series. It was an incredibly closely fought event with Field beating Scott Norris, sailing Lightwave, by just one point.
