The 2011 Böklunder Melges 24 European Championship hosted by the Aarhus Sailing Club in Denmark got underway in spectacular style with 3 breezy races on Day 1.
A top quality fleet of 80 teams has assembled at Aarhus Sailing Club in Denmark on the eve of the start of racing at the 2011 BöklunderMelges 24 European Championship. The championship runs from July 22 - 28 and has attracted entries from 16 nations across Europe and even as far afield as Japan.
With a bumper entry list of 81 teams from across 18 countries, the2011 Böklunder International Melges 24 European Championship,which takes place in Aarhus in Denmark from the 23 - 29 July, is set to be a truly classic international event.
In 2011, the U.S. Melges 24 fleet will travel home to famous Lake Geneva, Wisc. for what will be an awesome performance racing event, the U.S. National Championship hosted by the Lake Geneva Yacht Club (LGYC).
