A number of people have contacted me to find out what is happening with the Melges 24 Worlds 2006 DVD which Henri Samuel, IMCA Chairman, is continuing to chase on our behalf.

The prize giving for the 2006 Volvo Cup series will be held in association with the Coppa Italia in Alassio on Friday December 8th. The notice of race, registration form as well as accomodation list is available in the "Regate section" of WWW.MELGES24.IT, under "Bandi e Moduli".

The 2006 Melges 24 United States National Championship is being sailed out of Florida Yacht Club (FYC), Jacksonville, Florida on November 16-18th. The FYC has hosted the Melges 24 fleet in November for the past 14 years as the highly successful, Kings Day Regatta.

Sydney, Australia - It was announced today that Northshore Yachting have signed an exclusive license agreement with Melges Performance Sailboats (Zenda, Wi., USA) to build and distribute the Melges 24 the worlds premiere high performance, one design sportboat throughout the Asia Pacific market.

IMCA FORMAL STATEMENT - Following the recent Melges 24 World Championship prize giving in Hyeres it was brought to the organisers’ attention that an error may have been made in identifying the teams competing for the Corinthian Championship.
