From the USMCA - The coveted U.S. Melges 24 National Championship title is officially up for grabs. At the start of Wednesday, thirty-eight teams were on the roster and by the time registration concluded, more than forty-five entries were confirmed.
From Sven Lindahl of the Spanish Class - Our clas is growing! I sold my boat to a team in our club and I have ordered a new Melges 24 from Devoti sailing. Another local team are just trying to find a second hand boat and hope to find something in Barcelona and Portugal.
From the French Class. The last French Melges 24 2006 regatta and the final event in the European Ranking took place this past weekend with the Novembre a Hyeres Regatta. If only 19 boats were on the starting line the level was very good.
From IMCA Technical Advisor David Chivers - A great deal of measurement and inspection took place at the recent world championships and although generally most boats were fine it is worth mentioning a few subjects that need attention.
A number of people have contacted me to find out what is happening with the Melges 24 Worlds 2006 DVD which Henri Samuel, IMCA Chairman, is continuing to chase on our behalf.
