The 2009 Sperry Top-Sider Annapolis NOOD Regatta gets underway today. There is simply no better way to be kicking off the spring sailing season, not to mention the racing calendar in the Northeast as we work our way up to the 2009 Melges 24 World Championship, October 23 - November 1.
This morning 57 teams from ten nations are preparing to race in the second Italian Volvo Cup regatta of the seaon,being heldin Punta Ala on Italy's beautiful Tuscan coast.
The 2009 International Melges 24 European Championship will be hosted by the Cercle dOrganisation du Yachting de Comptition Hyrios (COYCH), in Hyeres, France from 21 to 28 August 2009.
To reflect recent changes in the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing and the Melges 24 Class Rules the guidance notes provided to judges for on the water judging in the Melges 24 Class have now been updated.
