On the 14th of October the thirty-ninth edition of the legendary Barcolana was raced on the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Trieste. With a total entry of some 1,831 boats this is one of the biggest regattas in the Mediterranean and this year 7 Melges 24s joined the entry list.
Annapolis, Md.; Eastport Yacht Club - Thirteen Melges 24s are currently signed up to race at the 2007 Northeast District Championship (NEDC), October 19-21 with expectations topping out with twenty to twenty-five total. Among those already registered to win is two-time Melges 24 U.S.

Although there is still one event to be sailed for the German Ranking we can already confirm the German Ranking 2007 is a success story. The Europeans 2007 gave the German fleet a massive boost and in the actual ranking we have placed 47 boats which have sailed at least in one of the events.
