There was a short postponement at the 2009 Melges 24 European Championship in Hyeres this morning but the teams are now headed out to the race course for what the Race Committee hope will be a three race day.

Hyeres, France 23 August 2009 -Over the past several days competitors at the 2009 Melges 24 European Championship have been treated to idyllic weather conditions in Hyeres, France as they prepare themselves and their boats for racing.

During 3 days the Melges 24 fleet attending met all kind of weathers and wind conditions making the event a great tune up for the Europeans and the Nationals soon coming up.
The 2009 Czech Melges 24 Championship was held at the biggest lake in the Czech Republic Lipno. 12 teams took part including 1 Austrian and 1 Slovenian team. This year the weather conditions were excellent - sunny and windy.
