In an exciting lastminute development the City of Annapolis has invited theSheehy Lexus of Annapolis Melges 24 World Championshipto use the Annapolis City Dock facility as its Regatta Center for the forthcoming championship which takes place from 23-31 October 2009.

In just a few weeks, some of the most talented sailors on the planet will gather in Annapolis, MD, USA, to decide just who the best Melges 24 sailor in the world is.

Californian sailing legend and past Melges 24 World Champion Dave Ullman was in town for the 2009 European Championship in Hyeres as coach for Franco Rossinis Blu Moon crew.

Denis Infant and the French Melges 24 Class invite you to join them back in Hyeres from 29th of October to 1st of November 2009 for the traditional end of season Novembre a Hyeres regatta.

The scene is set for a showdown of biblical proportions when the best one-design sportsboat sailors from across the US and Europe finally square up to each other at the2009 Melges 24 World Championshipin Annapolis, MD next month.

From 24th to 27th September Yacht Club Portoroz and Marina Portoroz hosted 13 crews from Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland and Slovenia on 2nd Slovenian Open National Championship of class Melges 24. Races were held in front of Piran with NE (Bora) winds.
