On the Road to Trieste: Key Regattas Ahead of the 2025 Melges 24 World Championship

3 June 2025 - Italy - As anticipation builds for the 2025 Melges 24 World Championship in Trieste, teams have two excellent opportunities to prepare and fine-tune their performance in the very waters that will host the global showdown.

First up:

Marina Monfalcone, July 4–6

The 7th event of the 2025 Melges 24 European Sailing Series, doubling as Act 2 of the Italian Trofeo Gaudi, will take place in nearby Marina Monfalcone. This regatta is a perfect launchpad for teams to begin their Worlds campaign with competitive racing and the benefit of affordable storage between events.

Trieste, September 5–7

The official Pre-Worlds regatta, Coppa Tito Nordio 2025, hosted by Yacht Club Adriaco, will serve as the final warm-up for the Worlds. As the 3rd Act of the Italian Trofeo Gaudi, this three-day regatta offers a crucial opportunity to experience Trieste’s renowned racing conditions — from the strong Bora winds to the tactical complexity of the Adriatic Sea.
