Registration Set To Open For Bacardi Winter Series and Invitational Regatta in September

August 12, 2020 - Miami, USA - With registration scheduled to open in September for the Bacardi Winter Series, the USM24CA is optimistic that it is THE light at the end of the 2020 tunnel. Here is the latest update from Bacardi.

Dear Sailors:

The dates for the iconic Bacardi Winter Series & Bacardi Invitational Regattas have been finalized for the upcoming season.

We have all been affected differently by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past few months as 2020 has been a year of change and uncertainty for each of us. We are hopeful that next year will see more certainty and we want to give you a brief update about our plans for the season.

As always, the much-loved Bacardi regattas are events that belong to you the sailors and we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding racing and great shore side fun. Our plan is that the events format for the upcoming season will remain the same as past years, although we are conscious we may need to adjust the management of boat park, shore side activities and social events as well as racing in accordance with legislation in place at the time. 

We are all looking forward to being out on the water again and the event team here in Miami is ready to welcome you back for all 3 events to enjoy what you have come to expect as one of the sport’s highlight regattas. Here are the dates for the upcoming season:

Bacardi Winter Series 1 / 11-13 December, 2020 
Bacardi Winter Series 2 / 22-24 January, 2021 (J70) & 21-24 January, 2021 (Melges 24)
 Bacardi Invitational Regatta / 10-13 March, 2021

We will be sending you regular updates in the lead up to each event to keep you informed of event plans, opening of online entry, charter boats, crew search, publication of race documents, social program and more.
