Notice - IM24CA World Council Annual General Meeting and Technical Committee Meeting 2026

Notice to IM24CA World Council Members

Dear World Council members of the International Melges 24 Class Association,

I am very much looking forward to our next Annual General Meeting in November, where we will come together to discuss matters of importance to our class and its members.

This year, the AGM will be held again as a hybrid meeting on Saturday, November 14, 2026. We will meet in person in Milan, while those unable to travel can join us via Zoom. The meeting will be open to all NCAs and members of the Executive Committee.

In preparation, our Technical Committee will have an open meeting on October 8. During that session, the committee will review and explain proposals for changes to the Class Rule and Constitution, along with other key topics. All NCAs and interested persons are welcome to participate. The meeting details and Agenda will be published closer to the meeting, but NCAs are invited to represent the voice of their country's sailors-owners by submitting their proposals during September or by September 30.

The AGM is an important occasion for the World Council to:

  • Consider and decide on proposals to the Class Rules and Regulations

  • Elect officers of the Association

  • Select venues for future championships

We are also eagerly anticipating our 27th edition of the Melges 24 World Championship (with 45 teams entered as of today), to be hosted by Little Traverse Yacht Club in Harbor Springs, MI, USA, from September 19 to 26, and the 17th edition of the Melges 24 European Championship (with 42 teams entered as of today), to be hosted by the Tønsberg Seilforening in Norway, from August 29 to September 4. We will also hold an Owners’ Open Meeting, providing a great opportunity for direct exchange with class leadership.

I look forward to your active participation and to welcoming you, whether in Milan or online, at this year’s AGM.

With kind regards,
Duncan Stamper
Chair, IM24CA
