Melges 24 Italian Nationals & Volvo Cup Scarlino Day 3

Its now 3.15pm here in Scarlino and very sadly for me I have to head back out to the airport now that my site visit for the 2012 Worlds is complete. After two good days of meetings and inspections I was finally able to get out on the water today to watch a little bit of the racing which looked fantastic. Unfortunately I have to head out to the airport now and will be in transit until late tonight so won't be able to update this situ until tomorrow so please keep up with all the news and results via the links below.

Results will be posted at the Club Nautico Scarlino website asap after racing - http://www.lamarinadiscarlino.it/ita/Campionato_Nazionale_Melges_24_Volv...

You will find regular updates live from the race course at the Volvo Cup Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Volvo-Cup/120083025396

Andrea Carlino's photos will also be posted via the Volvo Cup Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Volvo-Cup/120083025396

There is also some great video footage and interviews over on the Zerogradinord website - http://www.zerogradinord.net/

I'll upload some of my own photos for you tomorrow and will be able to update this site further in the morning but in the meantime keep watching the above for more details.

I'd like to say a huge thank you to the Italian Melges 24 Class, the President, members and staff of Club Nautico Scarlino, to the team at La Marina Di Scarlino and to the Volvo Cup team for all their help, advice and time during my site visit. The Melges 24 fleet always enjoys coming to this venue and we can look forward to the 2012 regatta with great enthusiasm and confidence.
