LIROS GERMAN RANKING 2005 UPDATE

From the German Class - The LIROS German Ranking again showed more boats than in the years before - this confirms the steady growth of the Melges24 class in the German speaking countries.

23 boats have competed in the three fixed ranking events which were hold at Kreuzlingen (SUI), Tutzing (GER) and Torbole (ITA) - 3 series with a total of 18 races count for the ranking. Additionally each crew is allowed to nominate one IMCA event as "wild-card" to be counted for the ranking - so we expect 25 boats by end of the season, Worlds 2005 will be the last race to count.

The actual ranking is lead by SUI 382 "Aile" (Michael Good & crew - 300,5 pts.), second place is with GER 474 "Speedy" (Günter Tzeschlock & crew - 289,8 pts.) and 3rd place is covered by AUT 251 "Kookaboora" (Josef Hackl & crew - 277,5 pts). We hope this success will allow the German Class to refresh its partnership with LIROS for 2006.
