Melges 24 Class members, friends and fellow sailors,

It is with a heavy heart that the Melges 24 Class shares the passing of George Haynie. George joined the Class over 20 years ago, and for the past 8 years has served as our Treasurer.

He was a strong advocate for the Melges 24 Class and loved the sport of sailing. Anyone who knew George would tell you he was very generous of his time, a strong competitor, and was very welcoming to new Class members.

Please join us in extending our deepest condolences to his family. We wish George eternal peace.
