DEN837 Helmed by Bo Boje Pedersen - Melges 24 Swedish Champion 2016
August 9, 2016 - Borstahusen, Sweden - Melges 24 Swedish Championship also considered as the 3rd event of the Doyle Sails Finland Melges 24 Nordic Trophy was hosted by Borstahusens Segelsällskap was held on the weekend of August 5-7. A wonderful fleet of 29 teams from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Germany had a great event with eight races sailed during three racing days. Strong winner was DEN837 helmed by Bo Boje Pedersen with the series of 6-2-1-3-1-(10)-9-1.
Fantastic weather and excellent wind conditions from Friday to Sunday. Showing off the Nordic sailing community that the MELGES 24 still rocks - 29 boats on the starting line.
Melges 24 Swedish Champion 2016 is DEN837 helmed by Bo Boje Pedersen with 23 points followed by NOR787 with Peder Nergaard helming (34 pts) and DEN761 helmed by Peter Havn (35 pts).
