2010 Melges 24 North American Championship - Entry Closes Tomorrow - Tuesday 31 August

Tomorrow, Tuesday 31 August 2010, is the entry deadline for the 2010 Melges 24 North American Championship being hosted by the Rochester Yacht Club on Lake Ontario. With championship racing from Thursday 23 September to Sunday 26 September, a post racing keg provided by Lakeside Beverages each day and additional great party support from longtime Melges 24 sponsor Pusser's Rum its going to be the perfect long weekend combination of serious racing and fun relaxation.
 
Registration will open on Monday 20 September at noon for those of you who want to arrive early and get in some practice time.  There will be formal tune up racing on Wednesday 22 September starting at 10am and all boats must have completed registration and be afloat by 5pm on Wednesday 22 September with a Competitor's Briefing and Opening Ceremonies that evening at 5.30pm.  Amendment  No 1 to the NOR has just been posted adding an extra crew weigh-in opportunity from 07.45 to 08.15 on Thursday 23 September so those who need to arrive last minute can still weigh in.

The first Championship race is scheduled to start at 10am on Thursday 23 September and racing runs through until Sunday 26 September with no warning signals to be made after 14.30 on the final day.

 
Corinthian competitors are reminded that they must submit their full crew lists with ISAF IDs, Classifications and Expiry dates when they enter and that the absolute final closing deadline for Corinthian entries is 31st August 2010.
