IM24CA Executive Committee
The International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA) World Council meets annually. It comprises representatives of each of the National Melges 24 Class Associations plus representatives from the Class builders. The IM24CA World Council is responsible for electing an IM24CA Executive Committee, which takes charge of the day-to-day management of the class on the World Council's behalf.
The Executive Committee shall consist of the Chairman, three Vice Chairman, three Ordinary Members, the Treasurer and the Chairman of the Technical Committee.
Each Officer shall be a Melges 24 boat owner and current full member of an NCA for the past two (2) years, except the Chairman of Technical Committee.
Each Officer position is for three (3) year term period. Term limits are set to two consecutive terms in the same Officer position. The Chairman of the Technical Committee shall be appointed by the World Council on an annual basis and shall serve on the Executive Committee ex officio without a vote and without being counted towards quorum.
The election of Officers will involve a democratic process whereby Officers are elected through a vote of the World Council.
In addition the IM24CA Executive Committee currently employs four part-time professional staff to assist them in the management of the class (Championship Coordinator, Chief Measurer, Rule Advisor, Administrator / Media Coordinator).
