Day two video from the 2012 Melges 24 Worlds at Circolo Vela Torbole, Italy
The second day of the Melges 24 Worlds brought plenty of sun tanning, but very sadly no racing, as a most unusual weather system meant that Torbole was not able to deliver her legendary Ora wind today.
On two race courses, one in front of Torbole and one further south, located just north of Limone, the Melges 24 World Championship came under starters orders with the evergreen Melges 24s divided into four groups, identified by four colors.
San Francisco Yacht Club and the San Francisco Melges 24 Fleet are preparing for an influx of Melges 24 teams from around the Globe as they ready themselves for the 2012 Melges 24 North American Championship, which takes place from 22-26 August.
With the end of the last practice race, the official training for the 2012 Melges 24 World Championship, organised by Circolo Vela Torbole and the International Melges 24 Class Association, is complete.
The countdown for the start of the Melges 24 World Championship is quickly approaching zero.
