After nineteen years with the Melges 24 class, the current Administrator Fiona Brown announced her retirement from the class after the European Championship in Medemblik this August. The new IMCA Administrator and Media Coordinator will be Piret Salmistu from Tallinn, Estonia.

The Minutes of the 2013 International Melges 24 Class Association World Council AGM are now published online. With 28 delegates attending the meeting in Budapest Hungary, it was one of the best attended AGMs ever.

The dates for the 2014 Melges 24 European Sailing Series have been confirmed. Responding to the fantastic reception that last year's series received, the 2014 programme will once again feature five regattas across Europe.

The initial entry deadline for the Gill Melges 24 World Championship, taking place in Geelong from 27 January to 2 February, is this Saturday 30 November so if you plan to enter and want to take advantage of the early entry discount take action now and make your entry at the event website.

In the first week since the entry system opened for the 2014 Melges 24 World Championship 22 teams from 8 nations and 4 continents have already confirmed their attendance!
