Melges 24 HUN Pre Nationals 2016

May 3, 2016 - Balatonfüredi, Hungary - Just like in the last season there were organized a great event by Balatonfüredi Yacht Club and MVM SE for Melges 24 and J24 classes on the last weekend of April. There were 8 Melges 24 and 11 J24 teams registered for the event considered to be Pre Nationals.

April 18, 2016 - Haven Ports Yacht Club, Suffolk, UK - Nine teams made it out for the third race weekend of the Haven Ports Yacht Club Melges 24 Spring Series. Sailors were greeted with wall to wall sunshine, a shifty 8-12 knots wind from the NW and a windward leeward course with a beat against the tide towards Pin Mill.

This contest came down to the final race.

April 16, 2016 - Charleston, U.S. - With eight races complete, Bruce Ayres on Monsoon took over the lead on Saturday with a slim one point lead..  Friday’s wintery conditions were barely a memory after today’s picture-perfect Day 2 at Sperry Charleston Race Week, with 15-20 knots of wind inshore and over 20 outside the jetties. The conditions allowed for racing across all the courses at the spring’s premier event despite seas that ranged from ‘bumpy’ to ‘scary’ according to crews returning from the offshore race course.

April 16, 2016 - Charleston, U.S. - Four races were completed on the first day of racing at Sperry Charleston Race Week 2016 with long-time Melges 24 super racer Travis Weisleder on Lucky Dog/Gill Race Team seated in first overall. “Tricky, cold, wet, fun,” was the quote of the afternoon from Weisleder via text when asked how was the racing.
