Four Time Melges 24 World Champion To Run Tuning Clinics For Melges 24 Sailors At All Levels

Four time Melges 24 World Champion and CEO of Melges Europe Federico Michetti will be hosting a coaching clinic in association with this weekend's 2011 Austrian Melges 24 Championship at Seewalchen, Attersee, Austria. This will be run tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday of this week and all competitors in the Austrian Championship are invited to take part. Fed will be running both shoreside and on water sessions focused helping teams with their tuning, boat speed and boat handling.  If you would like more information about taking part in this tuning session please contact Austrian Class Chairman Michael Scheiness on chairman@melges24.at.

Later this year Fed will also be running coaching clinics in Japan and Norway aimed at sailors of all levels.  The date for the Japanese session is yet to be set but the Norwegian clinic will be run in association with the Norwegian National Championship which is taking place in Hanko from 2-4 September.  We'll more publish details of these forthcoming events as soon as they are available

If you cannot attend any of the above clinics but your Melges 24 group would like help from Fed he would be happy to arrange a coaching session in association with one of your main events.  Please note that Fed makes no personal charge for his services and just needs accommodation, subsistence and a RIB from which to coach.  This really is a fantastic service that he is offering as no one in the fleet knows more about how to make your Melges 24 go fast than him.  He also has the knowledge and communication skills to help sailors at all levels and is as keen to coach sailors entirely new to the Melges 24 as those who want to fine tune their skills.  You can contact Fed on federico@melges.com.
