"Lake Geneva is one of the most beautiful, fun and incredible places to sail." said Event Chair John Simms, Jr. He is a local Melges 24 owner, Chaos 24/7 totally excited about competing. "Being a long-time Melges sailor myself, it means a lot to have such a prestigious event and fleet coming to Lake Geneva. The local fleet is really excited and ready to welcome everyone. LGYC is all set to roll out the red carpet."

The Notice of Race (NOR) has been posted for a short time now and teams are encouraged to continue registering. Preparations are in full swing and it's really important to register well in advance so that the Organizing Authority (OA) can plan accordingly. From trophy selections to orchestrating a monumental Melges ROCKS party (aimed to rock the fleet in the wee-morning hours), every little detail is being addressed so an amazing time will be had by all.

"Lake Geneva is an amazing place to sail at this time of year." said Andy Burdick, President of Melges USA. "We've typically held our Fall Championship during this period and welcomed 25-30+ entries because Lake Geneva is such a great place to race. The leaves are just starting to change, so it's quite scenic too. It delivers perfect conditions for Melges 24 racing. And, if you've never visited Melges USA in Zenda, it's a terrific opportunity to stop in and see the magic that happens at Melges Headquarters. We welcome everyone to visit."

2011 Melges 24 U.S. National Championship Online Registration is available, so please proceed and plan to attend. More updates will be issued very shortly regarding other logistical and social aspects of the Championship.
