Congratulations are in full order for Melges 24 Charleston Race Week Champion — Bruce Ayres and his Monsoon team of Mike Buckley, Jeff Reynolds, Brent Rhune and Jessica Koenig. After three days and seven races, never once did Ayres relinquish his overall lead.

Local favorite Guy Mossman on Battle Rhythm fought hard and proud, submitting only one of two single-digit scorelines in the fleet to finish second overall.

Get well soon, Flavio Favini!

"We were informed that the reigning Melges 24 world champion Flavio Favini suffered from a very risky accident when his balcony collapsed dropping him some 30 feet to the ground below in his house on the Lake Maggiore on Wednesday. Luckily, while suffering from several wounds and broken bones, he is not at risk.

We are close to him, his wife Paola and the whole family and we are looking forward to see him back on the race course soon!"
