Only one race was possible on day 3 of the 2011 Melges 24 Italian Open and Volvo Cup in Scarlino, Tuscany. Initially conditions afloat were good and the Club Nautico Scarlino Race Committee were able to run race seven of the series in a pleasant moderate breeze of around 10 knots.
Its now 3.15pm here in Scarlino and very sadly for me I have to head back out to the airport now that my site visit for the 2012 Worlds is complete.
This morning just before the teams left the dock we got everyone together for a group photo and you can see the results above. Below is a photo of the ladies of the fleet looking fabulous as always.
