With 38 entries already confirmed and several more entries still expected the 2011 Norwegian National Championship, to be held in Hanko from 2-4 September, is all set to be a record breaker.
San Francisco, California, 11 August 2011 -- With sixteen Melges 24s already registered or confirmed, next Friday's San Francisco Melges Race Week at the San Francisco Yacht Club is slated to be the largest gathering of Melges 24s in California in several years.
The Dutch Melges 24 Fleet invite you to join them for the 2011 Dutch Open Championship, to be held from 23-25 September in Medemblik. Medemblik will also host the 2013 Melges 24 European Championship so this is an ideal time to begin familiarising yourselves with the venue.
The 2011 IMCA World Council AGM will be held on the 19th November.
On the first weekend of September – 2nd to 4th – over 30 teams from 4 nations will sail the Norwegian Nationals. Silver and Bronze medallist from the worlds in 2009 and 2010 will attend, the best Corinthian in 2008, 2009 and 2010 will attend.
As we saw at the recent European Championship the Melges 24 class is expanding into many new countries in Europe and one of the relatively new Melges 24 sailing nations is Slovenia.
