Melges 24 European Sailing Series 2014 Introducing Corinthian Ranking Called Pro Am

Dear fellow Melges24 sailors!

The fourth event of the 2014 Melges 24 European Sailing Series is approaching soon in Riva del Garda to be held on July 2-6. This event is also one of the steps of the Italian Melges24 Class Circuit of which you can find notice at the IMCA’s website and on the website of the Club Fraglia Vela Riva.

The Notice of Race is published and please feel free to contact either the IMCA, the Italian Class or the club Fraglia Vela Riva del Garda for more info and support.

This year's edition of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series will introduce the Corinthian ranking as it is usual for all the events of the Melges 24 Class and the ranking will be called Pro Am (the current standings for both Pro and Pro Am - former Corinthian - are also published now). This series has proven to be a success from the first edition with a very high number of participants.

In Riva del Garda you will experience some innovations and requalification of the event as a test of what could be the Italian Circuit from 2015 onwards. Me and Franco Rossini, on our personal level, we are together cooperating to coordinate and develop the Melges 24 Italian Circuit. We hope to bring you soon positive news for the next season as well as go candidate Italy for the next available Melges 24 World Championship.

The Melges 24 Class is doing well and I see in front of us a new period of development in Europe, US and Australasia that will continue to keep the Melges 24 the best modern one design keelboat!

See you soon in Riva!
