September 21, Medemblik, Holland – During three days, with 21 teams from Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ukraine and Italy seven races were sailed in very various conditions - very light and sunny on Friday, then gray changing to sunny and more windy on Saturday and finally strong wind of 24 knots with gusts of 28 knots on Sunday.

September 19, Medemblik, Holland – The first day of the Dutch Open Championships 2014, which is considered as the final stage of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series 2014, welcomed the fleet of 19 boats from eight countries: Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ukraine and Italy. The Melges 24 event is framed in the Dutch Open Championship, an event that involves a substantial number of classes, including one design boats and dinghies, and with them a few hundred sailors.

San Francisco, Calif. - Nine Melges 24 teams took to the waters of San Francisco Bay last weekend to participate in the 50th Anniversary of the Rolex Big Boat Series. The fleet enjoyed three days of classic San Francisco racing conditions with top honors going to 2012 Melges 24 North American and 2013 Melges 24 World Champion (both in Corinthian division) Don Jesberg on Viva.

Melges 24 Estonian Championship 2014 was held in Kalev Yacht Club, Tallinn on September 12-14. The fleet was small - 5 boats from Estonia and Finland – but the racing was tight and exciting. Altogether 7 races were sailed during 3 racing days.

IMCA World Council AGM 2014 Confirmed For 6 December In Milan

The 2014 International Melges 24 Class Association World Council AGM will take place on Saturday 6 December 2014 in Milan, Italy.  

National Class Associations are reminded that the deadline for submission of nominations and proposals is Friday 10 October.

Melges 24 Norwegian Opens 2014

Melges 24 Norwegian Open Championship 2014 was held on September 5-7 in Larvik Norway Yacht Club. Norwegian Opens welcomed the great fleet of 29 boats from Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Altogether 11 races were sailed during 3 racing days.
