Dutch Open Championship - The Final Stage of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series 2014 Will Start Today
September 19, Medemblik, Holland - Dutch Open Championship - the final stage of the European Melges 24 Sailing Series 2014 will start in few hours. 25 teams are representing eight countries: Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ukraine and Italy.
The event is framed in the Dutch Open Championship, an event that involves a substantial number of classes, including one design boats and dinghies, and with them a few hundred sailors.
For the Melges 24 class the racing will start at 13 local time. There are eight races scheduled, with a discard provided after completion of the fifth race.
The Dutch Champions and the winner of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series 2014 - both in Pro and Pro Am divisions will be awarded on Sunday.
