On the left of the course EST 761 Tiit Vihul & SUI 782 Flavio Favini are leading the pack on ttat side. The bulk of the fleet are still working the right.

Both returned. Almost the entire fleet started in the starboard half of the line with a fair amount of bunching at the starboard start boat.

In the first part of the first beat the fleet are predominantly working the right hand side of the beat.

Two boats called OCS:

33 GBR 654 Gill Race Team

59 NED 801 DRV

Both returned. Almost the entire fleet started in the starboard half of the line with a fair amount of bunching at the starboard start boat.

Breeze at 165 - 6- 7 knots - flat water.

It's a eautiful bright and clear day out here on the racecourse.

Breeze is at 6 knots from 165 degrees and seems consistent across the course.

RC are setting up for Course 4  with a first windward leg of nautical miles.

RC has just confirmed to the fleet that this is the 9th attempt to start Race 9 (8 previous attempts took place yesterday.

This start will be under an I & Z Flag combination.

A gentle breeze has sprung up across the bay here in Aarhus and hopes are high that it will establish itself and develop into something more substantial to enable racing to get underway. PRO Hank Stuart has left the marina in the RC boat and the fleet are preparing to follow him out to the racecourse. We are packing up our gear (and suncream as the sun is out in Aaarhus this afternoon!) and will be heading out on the water too.

Our next update will come from the racecourse so keep checking back for the latest information...

Thanks for watching!

KT Newman put together this compilation slideshow for us of Pierrick's images from the windy first day of racing here in Aarhus...
