October 12, 2015 - Lake Rapel, Chile - Chilean Melges 24 Class had an Act 2 of the 2015-2016 Melges 24 Ranking Series season on Lake Rapel on Saturday, October 10. With SW wind of 6 to 9 knots the fleet of ten boats completed three very tight races.
11 October, 2015 - Luino, Italy - The Melges 24 season in Europe has concluded today with a total of 8 sailed races during the Coppa Lino Favini. Audi tron ITA840 (Simoneschi-Benussi, today 1-1-7) has been crowned event and Audi tron Sailing Series leader instead Miles Quinton's Gill Race Team GBR694 (Carveth-Quinton, 5-14-OCS) was victorious in the Melges 24 European Sailing Series.
October 10. 2015 - Luino, Italy - Changing the hierarchies in Luino where exploiting the Inverna between 5 and 12 knots - southerly wind typical on Lago Maggiore - the Coppa Lino Favini, event valid as the final act of Audi tron Sailing Series Melges 24 and Melges 24 European Sailing Series, came alive with the completion of three more races.
October 9, 2015 - Luino, Italy - The diversity of the weather did not prevent the holding of the first races valid for the Coppa Lino Favini, final round of the Audi tron Sailing Series and the Melges 24 European Sailing Series. The balance for the end of the first day was two valid results, thanks to the experience of the PRO Fabio Barrasso, who spent a lot of time to set up the race course despite of the wind shifts.
25 teams from 9 nations have gathered in Luino to sail the final event of the both series. Morning greeted the sailors with a heavy rain and lack of wind and AP was hoisted ashore. Around 1 pm the fleet went out with a hope that rain will stop and some stronger wind will come to start the racing afternoon.
